Typically when we think of the word "shelfie," a literal open shelf comes to mind. But lately I've been all sorts of obsessed with glass door cabinets for displaying treasured items. A stack of books, a few unique vases, a basket or two - the combinations are endless and as a bonus, it all stays tucked away and way less dusty in the long run!

NO. 2 FAMILY PHOTO COLLAGE

Incorporating family photos in a way that feels fresh and not overdone can be tricky to get right. But if you have a collection of gorgeous wall-to-wall built in shelves like these, well I say the more the merrier! As long as you can vary the frame sizes, finishes, and mattes, having a wall of good memories is always an idea I can get behind.

NO. 3 ARTWORK INFUSION

How fun is this black and white framed print in this home office? It takes the traditional vibes from the buttoned-up book displays and turns it completely on its head with a modern and eclectic piece that literally stops you in your tracks. Sometimes placing art in the most unexpected spots is the exact right move.

I just LOVE a good textured background, and I can't get enough of it on shelves.
