Friday Five // Think Spring

Is anyone else struggling with cabin fever?? This time of year can feel impossible to get through here in the Midwest, and there's no doubt I am READY for spring! I'm currently dreaming of flowing sundresses, sandals, and sunscreen, which means this week I'm all about finding ways to bring spring into the mix in my home. Read on for five easy and quick tricks to give your space a seasonal refresh. It may be freezing outside, but with these upgrades, you'll feel happy as can be.

NO. 1 FLORAL INFUSION

A bouquet of fresh tulips, a branch of colorful blooms - there are so many options out there for infusing florals into your home, and I'm in love with every single one. Even though the outdoors world is still cold and snowy (and let's be honest, probably will be that way for awhile), a little reminder of spring here and there goes a long way!

NO. 2 SPRING COLOR POPS

A bright yellow, blue, or pink pillow can be just what your sofa or bedroom needs to feel ready for the next season. Be sure to keep it muted, though, with just a pop or two peppered in among your base of neutrals and classic prints - you don't want it to feel like an easter egg collection took over! A little splash is the perfect amount of magic.

NO. 3 LIGHT & AIRY SCENTS

Nothing says SPRING like a new scent filling your house. It's an immediate pick-me-up for your mood, and it'll help fill your mind with images of open-air walks, garden blossoms, and swapping out those boots for open-toed beauties. It may not be reality for a few months, but hey - you can't go wrong with a little wishful thinking!

NO. 4 OUTDOOR TEXTURES

As much as I'd love to change out my bedding for lighter cottons or linens, it's just not feasible with the negative temps here in Minnesota. So, to get a spring vibe going without sacrificing warmth, look for ways to incorporate seasonal textiles elsewhere. I love hanging a basket with greenery in my entryway - it's the perfect way to start and end your day with a touch of spring happiness.

NO. 5 ARTWORK REFRESH

To give your home an impactful decor revamp, try switching out some of your artwork. A gallery wall can have a totally new look with a few framed botanical prints, or consider changing out a winter landscape scene for a piece with bright and inviting colors. It's a simple update, but I guarantee it'll give everything a dose of warmth and fun to help you survive the last of the cold weather days!

If winter's got you down, just remember - spring IS indeed just around the corner. And I promise that a quick home refresh will lift your spirits - at least enough to get you through the next few months! So light that scented candle, fill your vases with florals, and add a few doses of color. You deserve it.
