Friday Five // Fall Styles I'm Loving

Fall is in the air, and that means I’m diving headfirst into sprucing up my wardrobe this weekend. To celebrate the cooler temps and changing leaves, I’m dishing this week on all things fall and what’s inspiring me to revamp my own closet. Because even though winter isn’t too far away, this season is one of the best and we all deserve to enjoy it in style.

  1. Hats 2. Bandanas 3. Overalls 4. Coats 5. Shoes

NO. 1 HATS

Need to jazz up an outfit in a pinch, but don't want to overthink it? A hat is the solution for you. I am so in love with them year round, but this time of year they especially feel fresh and fun, and they're absolute magic for any look. Even a totally simple outfit like jeans and a tee gets an instant upgrade with an oh-so-stylish hat on top.

NO. 2 BANDANAS

If you're like me, you're living in simple t-shirts these days, and of course that means I'm always looking for ways to give them a little pop of color and excitement. Enter the bandana scarf - it's lightweight, so you won't have to worry about over-layering yourself, and it's such a slam-dunk look, you're guaranteed to stand out from the crowd.

NO. 3 OVERALLS

I won't lie, the last time I wore overalls, I was in high school (Eeeek! I'm not ready to admit I'm that old!). And while I'm slow to embrace the styles from my high school years, this is one I'm all about. You can't deny they're pretty damn cute, and adding the ultra comfort factor into the mix, you've got a go-to wardrobe staple that's a cinch to style.

NO. 4 COATS

This time of year in Minnesota is absolute heaven with just enough cool days to warrant some excitement for coat season. So why not pull out a few to pepper into your everyday attire here and there? Whether you're donning a vintage floor length number or a simple navy peacoat, you can always take it off if it gets too warm, and in the meantime, you'll look as chic as can be.

NO. 5 SHOES

It's clear I'm all about fall, but when it comes to shoes, I'm not quite ready to convert to full-on boots. Instead, I've been sticking to flats like these warm brown beauties - not only are they full of gorgeous texture, but the material and color make them ideal transitional pieces. You can literally pair them with anything - a sundress on a hot day, pants and a sweater on a cooler day, and more. Sky's the limit!

What trends are you loving this season? Any tried-and-true favorites you swear by? Drop ‘em below! After all, from transitional pieces to extra-cozy layers, I’m always looking for new ways to add excitement to my personal style!
