Friday Five // Everything Sage

Well, fall is definitely in the air this week, and it’s got me thinking all about inspiration for the new season. There’s the usual list, of course - deep moody hues, the changing leaves, fall florals, and more - but I’m also finding myself drawn to sage. It’s a color that feels ultra earthy and exciting, and I can’t get enough of seeing it in virtually every room. So, if you’re on the hunt for an infusion of fall that feels a little different this year, try out a bit of this soft green here and there. It’s so good, I’ve got a feeling you’ll be ready to deck out the entire house in it before you know it.

  1. Bathroom Tile 2. Bedding 3. Kitchen 4. Pillows 5. Wallpaper

NO. 1 BATHROOM TILE

There are few things that make bigger statements than bathrooms with colorful tile. But the catch to this trend is that some of the more popular tiles out there right now are definitely "in style" at the moment, but not necessarily timeless. That's why I'm LOVING sage tile. It gives a room that perfect color pop, but still feels muted and classic.

NO. 2 BEDDING

Looking to spruce up your bedding for fall, but tired of the typical fall colors that make the rounds each year? Go for sage! I love that it feels so earthy and fresh, but without straying too far into summer or spring vibes. Perfect way to welcome the seasonal change! (And bonus - this color is amazing year round, so it def hits the versatility mark!)

NO. 3 KITCHEN

Is this kitchen gorgeous, or what?? I'm all about using sage for cabinetry because it feels saturated and vibrant, but also warm and relaxing. Plus, it works like a charm with any metal finish and against hardwood floors. Pair it with a few additional wood accents (hellooooo woven/wood barstools), and you've got a match made in heaven.

NO. 4 PILLOWS

Sage is one of those color "neutrals" that pairs well with just about any color palette. It's soft and inviting, so popping a pillow or two into your sofa or bedroom collection is a surefire way to incorporate this trend without a full wall or cabinet commitment. Try mixing & matching a few different patterns, too - it'll look oh-so-stylish, guaranteed!

NO. 5 WALLPAPER

While wallpaper can feel like a big step for a lot of people, going for a simple and understated pattern in sage is the absolute best way to do it in style (and ensure it'll stay on trend for more than a season). As I like to say, when in doubt, go for simplicity - flower patterns and earth-inspired hues are never a bad idea!

Are you loving this color as much as me? Is your Pinterest board bursting with inspiration left and right? Then do yourself a favor and get a little of it in your life, stat. Especially with all the time we’re spending at home, we all deserve a little infusion of happiness and excitement to make this new season feel extra special.
