Friday Five // Budget Decor Must Haves

Spring fever is in full swing for me, and I don't know about you, but I'm dying for a decor update in my house. Looking for that same refresh, but not ready to drop money on a major overhaul? I totally get it! That's why today, I've put together my top five budget decor items to give your space a whole new look. Sometimes, all we need is a tiny change or two to completely transform our moods.

  1. Cozy Pillow 2. Wood Chain 3. Wall Baskets 4. Reading Lamp 5. Footed Planters

NO. 1 COZY PILLOW

As much as I'm craving spring like woah right now, winter is still going strong here in Minnesota, which means I'm on the hunt for all the cozy things. This pillow from Pottery Barn is super soft, costs less than $40, and works seamlessly with any decor or color palette. Add it to your sofa or bedroom pillow mix and you'll absolutely love it!

NO. 2 WOOD CHAIN

You can never go wrong with a little extra decor pop here and there in your home. This wood chain is great for adding just a hint of interest to a bookshelf, side table, or coffee table. Especially if you're getting cabin fever (like me), sprucing up your decor a bit can have a much-needed refresh effect.

NO. 3 WALL BASKETS

Baskets are AMAZING for adding texture and interest to your space, and when you put them on walls, it's a whole new level of gorgeous. After all, why shouldn't we think a bit outside the box when it comes to wall art? This trio is a steal, and I guarantee it'll look just stunning either alone or arranged within a larger gallery wall ensemble.

NO. 4 READING LAMP

Layered lighting is essential in any room, and while you can certainly read via an overhead light, a focused reading lamp is so much more convenient and ambient. I'm all kinds of obsessed with this aged brass pharmacy floor lamp and though I don't need a new lamp at the moment, you better believe I'm waiting for the perfect spot to open up for it!

NO. 5 FOOTED PLANTERS

What better way to encourage spring to finally make its debut than with a few lush house plants? I love footed planters for displaying those green beauties since they add height to any vignette or work well right on the floor (depending on their size). Just be sure to pair 2-3 together for a curated and collected look. Sometimes a single planter all alone can feel out of place.

There are all kinds of budget decor hacks out there, and I encourage you to give them a try! Playing around with a new throw pillow, a quick lamp swap, or an infusion of greenery can make your space feel completely revitalized. Let the (re)decorating commence!
