Friday Five // Top Design Book Picks

Looking for a gift for that homebody in your life? Searching for a bit of inspiration to tackle your next quarantine remodel project? Or maybe you just need a little infusion of style via a stack of beautiful books on your coffee table. Whatever you’re searching for, you won’t want to miss today’s roundup of my top design book picks. Because while there are a ton of books to choose from out there, this is hands-down my go-to stack that always gets a spot of prominence on my shelves.

  1. Made for Living 2. Make Life Beautiful 3. Travel Home 4. Homebody 5. Down to Earth

NO. 1 MADE FOR LIVING

If you haven't given Amber Interiors a follow yet, now is the time. Amber Lewis absolutely nails her designs and they're the perfect mix of California cool and structured contemporary vibes. When I say I get heart eyes every time I see a styled shot, I'm not exaggerating at all. Don't miss her beautiful design book - it'll have you simply swooning.

NO. 2 MAKE LIFE BEAUTIFUL

Simplicity and a neutral aesthetic ground the design style at Studio McGee and I've been head over heels for their work for a long time now. I love how classic and straightforward it all is, with a constant infusion of textures to make everything feel pulled together. Snag this book if you love their work - it's the story of their journey!

NO. 3 TRAVEL HOME

Missing travel like woah this year?! Same. But while we can't necessarily go globetrotting quite yet, you can dive into interiors around the world in Travel Home. The pages of this gorgeous book feature a variety of designers, so you're sure to get all the inspiration you need to make your home eclectic, curated, and cozy through and through.

NO. 4 HOMEBODY

You know I'm a Magnolia fan (hellooooo Target line of my dreams), so this book has definitely become a staple in my office. And while there are drool-worthy design shots inside, one of the things I love about this one is that it's got accessible advice to figure out your own design style and bring it to life. Who wouldn't be on board with that?

NO. 5 DOWN TO EARTH

Designer Lauren Leiss's book is exactly what it sounds like - a down-to-earth approach to living beautifully. Sound amazing? It is! Her signature laid-back style is so alluring, every time I see a shot, i want to sink into the pages and spend a whole weekend just lounging in it. If you've ever wondered how to create a home that feels stylish, but still ultra comfortable, this is your new must have!
